Thank You, Stanley Koolik

March 10, 2016

Stanley Koolik, our building President, stepped down from that position on Wednesday, March 9 at our regular board meeting, in anticipation of moving to Boynton Beach at the end of the month.

Let’s make it clear – this is not an obituary for Mr. Koolik. It’s just to remind us how fortunate we are to have had him as our neighbor, friend, activist, director, and president. Stanley and his wife, Marsha, have lived here for about thirty years. As the Kooliks start a new chapter in another place, it is important for us to acknowledge that they leave the 4000 Building a better place than it has ever been.

Stanley has served our building – and the Williams Island community – as a director and officer, in addition to advocating publicly and privately for transparency and civility in the governance of our building and the POA. As outspoken as he is at times, Stanley is a leader and consensus builder without a personal agenda. He takes seriously his responsibility to do what is best for the building as a whole.

Yes, Stanley is funny with an off-beat sense of humor that at times leaves you wondering whether he is joking or serious. To those who say he is “OCD”, Stanley is no doubt outgoing, caring, and dedicated.

So I hope you will join me in saying, “Stanley, you’ve helped make our building a happy, well-run place to live. Thank you.”
